Fast-er food January

Japanese Noodle:

It’s not everyday you can have a satisfying and flavourful lunch for under $10 a person, let alone being treated by Chef David Hawksworth to this vary cheap and cheerful afternoon.

I suspect the Japanese Noodle (located on the north-west corner of Yukon and Broadway) is the place to be in the neighbourhood during a sunny lunchtime – we had just beat the rush, and within 30 minutes the line up was out the door. Starving people on time constraints really have no choice but to hover over your table and stare at you and your noodles.

After a plate of beautifully juicy gyoza, pork and vegetable ramen bowls, and katsudon (popular rice dish), three diners were only charged $25. Insanity.

This is fast-er “cheaper” food.
